If you don’t have your birth time, please check your birth certificate! If you don’t have your birth certificate or can’t find the time written on it, try calling the hospital where you were born to see if they have a record of your birth time. If that fails, please check with loved ones who may remember when you popped into this big ol’ world!
If you still don’t have your birth time, let me know on your booking form. I am happy to still give you a reading, but please note that the reading will be somewhat less specific than it would be if you had your birth time. For context, the Rising Sign and house placements (which signify the areas of life in which these planetary energies are activated) will be unknown without a birth time. If that’s okay with you, let’s do it!
If you’d like to know your birth time before getting a reading, I’m happy to refer you to another astrologer who offers “rectification sessions”, where they walk through the timing of your life in order to work backwards and determine the time that you were likely born. As a note, I need time to prepare for each reading so I don’t schedule next-day or even day-after-the-next-day sessions. The soonest I can do (except for times of emergencies in which case you can email me at devon.rochelle7@gmail.com) is 3 days out from the current moment.
I don’t offer cancellations at this time since I prepare for readings (3+ hours per reading) as soon as I have the opportunity to, which may be a couple weeks before a reading. Before booking, I encourage you to explore the detailed information on my [About Me page], my [Why Astrology page], and my [Work With Me] page to ensure that I’m the right astrologer for your needs. If you’re unsure or have any questions about whether my services align with what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to reach out before booking.
If you need to reschedule your consultation though, you may do so up to 24 hours in advance using the link in your confirmation email.
Arriving on time is essential. If you are more than 10 minutes late without prior notice, your appointment will be considered a no-show. Additionally, no-shows or reschedules attempted within 24 hours of the scheduled consultation are not eligible for rescheduling or refunds. Rescheduling under these circumstances (within 24 hours of the scheduled reading) will only be possible in cases of emergency.
If you’re going to be late to our consultation, please email me to let me know as soon as possible. If you join the Zoom meeting and it shows “waiting for the host to start this meeting” more than 5 minutes after our scheduled time, please let me know via email right away (since it might be a tech problem!). Unless I reach out beforehand, the Zoom meeting will always be open right at the scheduled time, no later.
The first and most important way to prepare as a client is to give yourself the gift of really thinking through the answers to your booking form. When I ask you questions like, “What are you seeking out of our time together?”, close your eyes, place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly, and tune into your intuition. Take some time to really be with yourself. What exactly do you want? What exactly are you seeking? Allow yourself this gift of presence and intention. It is that presence and intention that will greatly magnify the magic we’ll co-create together in your consultation.
Beyond that, I highly recommend you carve out some sacred time and space for your reading. Find a quiet, secluded place in your home where you feel safe to be vulnerable and open. Make sure that you’re comfortable and can be relaxed, ensuring that you have enough free time before and after your session to slow down beforehand and integrate afterwards. Maybe have some tea by your side, a blanket to get cozy in, and anything else that allows you to dive into this sacred work at your best.
Lastly, I highly recommend taking notes if you’re a notes person. I clarify “if you’re a notes person” because I understand that not everyone is. Some clients like to just listen and be present, only to take notes later when watching the recording. Others like to scribble notes throughout the entire session so they don’t miss a single thing. Do what works best for you
